No post for November, huh? How about some Airline industry Wi-Fi stuffs?
Monday, December 10th, 2007OK, so I completely failed on my quest to update the blug more often, but a couple of stories have caught my eye over the last little bit. Firstly, JetBlue will be offering Wi-Fi of a sort on one of their planes (and rolling it out to others some time in the future). The plane in question is named Beta Blue and I’m hoping that it’s going to make a stop in SMF at some stage so I can check it out.
The next thing that caught my eye is that Denver International Airport (That’s DEN and not DIA, despite the insistence of the owners) has finally decided to stop charging for Wi-Fi. As I mentioned here last year, I flew through there about a year ago and was a tad irritated that it wasn’t free. The other interesting thing is that they’re rolling out Draft-N. Maybe I’ll have to hop a Frontier flight again soon. Actually, come to think of it, Frontier uses the same LiveTV service that JetBlue is using for their in flight Wi-Fi, so maybe they’ll get that in time too.
